“Being out on the streets on Christmas is really, really hard.”
After the death of her mother at 3-years-old, Nicole had a difficult upbringing. She found herself homeless at 16 and fell into a spiral of drug and alcohol abuse. Nicole was homeless for a year before finding Action for Children.
“It’s scary, the fact that you don’t know where you’re going to end up next. At the end of the day, you’re just questioning everything. Am I going to have something to wear? Am I going to be clean? Am I going to be fed? Am I going to be warm?”
By becoming a Secret Santa, you can help make sure that young people like Nicole don’t have to think about these questions. This Christmas, you can help make sure more vulnerable children are warm and safe.
